About Ian Inglis
I am looking to switch careers from retail management into carpentry. I am fairly inexperienced so my interest is in openings for apprentices. I have a genuine enthusiasm to learn the trade and understand that it requires early rising, hard physical labor, careful attention to detail, and the potential for long hours. I am physically fit, enjoy working hard, and do well in a team dynamic. In anticipation of switching careers I got my OSHA10 certification, have purchased the tools and clothing required and am taking a two week intensive course in fine woodworking at the North Bennett Street School this month. Although my resume has very little relevance to carpentry I hope it shows my ability to dedicate myself to a job, work well with others, and help create productive and successful workplace cultures.
