I am a litigator with extensive first/second-chair experience in complex, high-value commercial litigation (state and federal) and international arbitration. I try my matters according to three principles, essentially promises to my clients. First, I listen. I get to know my client, my client’s business, how this matter matters to my client, and just how my client wants the matter resolved. Second, I am available. My clients always have my cell number, and I always have my cell. Third, I am relentless. I worry about my matters. I fret over them. I master the documents to extract case-ending concessions at deposition or on cross. I dig down into the cases to persuade the judge that the opponent’s authorities, for all their superficial attraction, do not control. I study everything properly available about my judge and my jurors to present my client’s case in its best, most sympathetic light. This is how cases are won. My matters have ranged across several industry sectors, including construction, telecommunications, shipping, pharmaceuticals, real estate, manufacturing and retail. My clients have included Fortune 100 companies, governmental entities, non-profits, and officers and directors.
