About Ian McCarty

As a Combustion Survey and Inspection Inspector at John Zink Hamworthy Combustion, I leverage my mechanical engineering background and welding expertise to provide technical reports and recommendations to customers in the refineries, petrochemical plants, and gas plants. I regularly visit plant sites to inspect and assess equipment health, compile field findings and photos into report format, and build/maintain plant relationships. I also educate customers on safe practices, preventative maintenance, and operational guidance, which leads to the discovery of opportunities. Prior to this role, I was a Sr. Code Welder and a Lead at the same company, where I applied my welding technology skills and leadership abilities to ensure quality and efficiency in the production process. I am in the process of obtaining an Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tulsa Community College and hold a Welding Technology certificate from Oklahoma Technical College. I am passionate about applying my skills and knowledge to contribute to the safety and efficiency of the energy industry.
