About Ian Mettelmann

I am an undergraduate student pursuing a B.S. in Biochemistry on the Pre-Medical track. In my time at Creighton, I have been presented with a wide variety of opportunities. I am a member of running club, business information and analytics (BIA) club, as well as the pre-medicine society. I am a teaching assistant in the Chemistry/Biochemistry department here at school, which has taught me great communication and leadership skills. Before coming to Creighton, I was a tennis instructor for three years, teaching the fundamentals of tennis to children and adults alike. These experiences have enhanced by leadership, communication, and teaching skills tremendously. I have also recently joined a research lab in the biochemistry department, looking for a safer alternative for pesticides that do not have the negative environmental impact. With my experiences, I have been able to manage and delegate tasks as well as communicate effectively across parties. I can work independently in addition to team collaboration to achieve set goals and meet deadlines. I am adaptable to challenges that arise and assess my skill set to benefit the team.
