About Ian Mickelson

I am a hardworking, ambitious, and motivated student with a dream to inspire and lead others. I am a proud citizen of the United States of America and am pleased to reside in the State of Washington. I am currently an Accounting/Management Information Systems major at Washington State University with an expected graduation date in May 2025. My college career started during my junior year of high school in 2019 at Eastern Washington University, where I spent two years as a running start student; later graduating high school with sixty-three (semester) college credits. Upon graduation, I enlisted in the Washington Army National Guard as an 11C and completed Basic Combat Training in Sept 2021 and Advanced Individual Training (collectively OSUT) in Dec 2021 at Ft Benning, Georgia. I currently serve with the Army National Guard in Spokane WA. On February 23, 2023, I accepted an internship offer with KPMG US for the summer of 2024 in Seattle WA. I am beyond grateful for what KPMG and the accounting field has offered me throughout the networking process as well throughout my college experience. I am confident that I made the right decision to join KPMG and am excited beyond words for my career in accounting. During my college experience, I have excelled in developing and utilizing necessary skills needed in today's business environment. These skills include leadership, communication, and attention to detail. I continue to reflect these skills in my day-to-day life as a student and servicemember.
