With over twenty five years' experience as a NED on both Government and Private sector Boards, Ian is passionate about achieving successful outcomes through contributing as a Board member. With proven expertise in marketing, digital, commercial, negotiating and strategic planning. A flair for developing strategic vision with strong collaborative and engaging attributes. Achieved the status of Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2007, Ian is keen to broaden his NED portfolio. Currently Company Secretary and former Board member of Queensland Cricket and NED of Foodbank Queensland. Most recently a Board member of Aviation Australia, Cairns based Indigenous Tourism experience - Tjapukai and also served as a NED for both Nitmiluk Cicada Lodge and Wildman Wilderness Lodge Pty Ltd on behalf of IBA and previously of Skills Queensland, including a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Board. Previous Board positions include Brisbane Marketing, Western Australia Tourist Commission, Harvey's Choice Holidays, Darwin Port Authority and NT Tourist Commission. As a CEO (Tourism Queensland and NT Tourist Commission) has reported directly to Boards which has provided invaluable understanding of the important roles and relationship between executive management and Boards. Significant industry experience in Aviation, Travel & Tourism, Marketing and most recently an iconic member based "mutual" organisation, the RACQ Group.
