About Ian Murray

Throughout the entirety of my life I have exercised deep interest in most things military, security, negotiations, and de-escalation techniques in communication. This interest turned passion is what led me to pursue the education and career path that would foster my growth initiatives. I earned a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice while serving in the Army Reserves. A few months post-graduation, I gained career experience working in armed security. In recognition of my exemplary on-the-job work ethic, a leader in corporate security for a publicly-traded company offered me the corporate armed security position that inevitably enhanced my expertise. The corporate armed security position also allowed for a career advancement opportunity of earning a career diploma in Private Investigation. In my free time I enjoy reading books about effective communication and professional development. The most impactful books I read to date are:"Verbal Judo: The Gentle Art of Persuasion" by Dr. George J. Thompson, and "Emotional Intelligence 2.0" by Travis Bradberry & Jean Greaves. We communicate to teach and to learn about one another every day. Proper communication may be the most effective tool we own, and using that tool properly is what I regard as being the catalyst for much of my success today. When I am not reading I love to spend my time cooking; It is my creative outlet. I also enjoy voice acting and doing impressions for my friends and family.
