About Ian Normoyle

Data brings us together. While the stereotype is that data and its acolytes are cold, unfeeling, and in the most literal sense of the word, calculating, I can't help but find it profoundly humanizing. When we look at the actions taken, be they experimental data on human behavior, or proxies such as purchasing data, actions taken, or habits developed under certain circumstances, it tells a story, a story of how a person, or an institution behaves, how they move through the world, and how the factors and conditions in their own existence impact the way they act on that world in turn. It is for this reason that I study data science, to better understand the conditions of the environment we move through, and develop cutting-edge strategies for a changing world through data modeling, machine learning, and programming innovative models for real-world problems.
