About Ian Prizer

Video Producer / Videographer with specialization in Film and Video Editing, Studio Broadcast Production, the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Color Correction, Motion Graphics, Social Media Content Production, and Advertising. I’m currently working as the Lead Motion Graphics Designer at Temple University, within the design team of their Strategic Marketing and Communications Department. The most captivating aspect of editing, to me initially, was its rhythmic-like nature. It flowed like music, and like an instrument the only limit to what I could produce was my own creativity and skill. With my humble beginnings on obscure editing software like Corel VideoStudio 15 years ago, I’ve since vastly grown in my understanding of the film and video industry, as well as its software. I now have expert knowledge of programs such as those found within the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, as well as other programs like Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, and DaVinci Resolve. I’m able to effectively produce film and video content from scratch with techniques in effective scene selection, fluid cutting, balanced color correction, and seamless motion graphics. These editing practices have helped foster my production skill set as well, with professional understanding and proper use of cameras, lighting, and sound when behind a directorial role. My directorial credits span between film, video, and broadcast, as seen in the work I’ve done with Pirate Moon Productions, as well as several short films and documentaries I’ve produced. What has fostered my expanding skill set in my editing and production work, is a love for learning new techniques and abilities; broadening my own creativity and horizons.
