About Ian Richardson

Program Manager in Release & Change Management at Workday. In my former role as a Quality Assurance Engineer with S&P Global I planned regression testing, new feature and automation testing for various different clients. I accomplished this through liaising with clients to understand their requirements and create accurate test cases based on these requirements. I was also responsible for a number of automation builds, ensuring they were running successfully. As well as my day-to-day responsibilities I worked to ensure the highest quality standards were integrated into our development lifecycle through implementing processes and ensuring existing processes were adhered to. I was also involved in training my new colleagues in our application and processes. Formerly a consultant with Expleo group where I worked closely with clients and internal team members to deliver various projects according to the clients needs. From working as a consultant I was exposed to fast-paced environments across various different industries. Experienced working in both agile and waterfall environments. Currently seeking new employment in Program / Project Management. I really enjoy the aspects of my job which require communication with colleagues and customers. As part of my role in S&P Global I have deputised as the QA lead on a number of occasions for my team. I really enjoy taking on this leadership role and it is something I am looking to do more of in my next role. Graduated from NUI Galway with a B. Eng in Biomedical engineering and a MSc. in International Business Economics and Management from KU Leuven. ISTQB foundation level certified. IC Agile fundamentals certified.
