Background
About Ian Wallace
Airline Transport Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor. 22 years of service in the United States Marine Corps. 21 years aviation operations experience piloting transport aircraft around the world, including T-44s, KC-130s, and Cessna Citation Encore jets (UC-35D). Accumulated over 4500 military flight hours and have literally circumnavigated the globe, flying aircraft across the Americas to Europe, to the Middle East, and Asia. Ten years experience flying the entire Pacific region. Achieved every pilot instructor qualification in the KC-130 and UC-35 community, including NATOPS, Instrument, Crew Resource Management, Operational Risk Management, Weapons and Tactics, Night Systems, and Defensive Tactics Instructor. Aviation Safety Officer trained at the Naval Post-Graduate School. Flew combat operations during the Kosovo conflict and Operation Enduring Freedom. Led detachments flying humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations in Bangladesh and Myanmar. Flew the Cessna Citation Encore around the Pacific region for five years. Flew two Citation aircraft at the edge of their performance range from Kansas through Washington and Alaska, down to Midway and across the Pacific islands back to Okinawa, Japan. Immediately following the horrific earthquake and tsunami striking Japan in March 2011, flew four Commanding Generals on a mission from Okinawa across the Tokyo and Northern Japan region, around the nuclear crisis zone, to survey the devastation and reach Yamagata and Sendai for coordination of recovery operations. Well experienced handling actual aviation emergency situations in the KC-130 and the UC-35. Flying is my passion in life. I take every aspect of professional aviation seriously and with extreme pride. I thoroughly enjoy the thrill, adventure, and trust of exceeding customer expectations by flying people, families and cargo to their destination anywhere around the world safely, efficiently, and on time.
