About Ibrahim Awad
Ph.D. in Physical chemistry with 15+ years of experience in university education and research. Specialist in computational and theoretical chemistry: density functional theory, QM/MM, molecular dynamics simulation, and material science. Long experience in using many programming languages (Fortran, C, and Python); scripting including bash, awk, sed, grep, etc; version control (git); web development languages ( PHP, Javascript, React Native, Typescript); database (Oracle: SQL foundations, Develop PL/SQL program units, Forms developer 10g, and Reports developer 10g); programming software (Mathematica, Matlab); experimental design software (Minitab, Expert design, Originpro), DFT-tools: VASP, FHI-AIMS. My current research project focuses on finding economically-viable and scalable solutions for CO2 capture in NGCC and DAC systems. Through my experiments with different material and adsorption-based process combinations, I aim to contribute to the effort to reduce carbon emissions and combat climate change. My goal is to bring real-world solutions to this pressing issue facing our planet
