I'm a dedicated and adaptable person with over three years of experience working with people in sports, childcare, and healthcare education. I've also got a solid background in leadership, diversity and inclusion, and emergency response. Right now, I'm working towards my Advanced Ontario Diploma in Respiratory Therapy at Fanshawe College. I think my mix of hands-on experience in program management, youth development, and healthcare training gives me a pretty unique perspective. For example, as a Sports Instructor with the City of Mississauga, I've had the chance to create and run inclusive camp programs. My focus is always on making sure everyone, regardless of their abilities, feels safe and engaged. That means supervising other leaders, giving one-on-one support to kids with special needs, and following the HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development. I'm really passionate about inclusivity and building programs that work for everyone, whether they have a disability, behavioral challenges, or different language needs. Beyond sports and recreation, I've also been involved in healthcare education as a Simulated Patient at Fanshawe College, working with Simulation Canada. This has allowed me to help deliver innovative, hands-on learning experiences for future healthcare professionals. I've supported virtual simulations, pushed for better accessibility in healthcare training, and helped build partnerships to get students ready for the workforce. I'm also passionate about making a difference in physical and health education. I'm an active member of the Physical and Health Education Canada Youth Council, where I advocate for inclusive and equitable programs. I get to advise on strategy, participate in youth panels, and help shape policies so that programs actually meet the needs of all students. I'm First Responder and Basic Life Support (BLS) certified, so I can handle emergencies calmly and professionally. My time as a Student Emergency Response Team Member at Fanshawe College has also given me valuable experience in providing immediate medical care and keeping things safe under pressure.
