About Ibrahim Sabra

Growing up during the 2011 Egyptian revolution, I witnessed firsthand how technology can amplify voices—for better or worse. It was my earliest lesson in how law, policy, and innovation shape society, and it has guided my path ever since. Nowadays, I work at the intersection of AI, internet freedom, digital governments, and justice automation, asking how we can design legal and policy frameworks that protect human dignity in a world moving at the speed of code. I believe law should be practical as well as principled. That’s why I value moot courts, legal clinics, and mentoring the next generation of lawyers. Watching students grow into their voice and turn theory into action remains one of the most rewarding parts of my work. Collaboration drives me. Whether with academics, policymakers, technologists, or activists, I seek to align technology with human rights law, ensuring that innovation serves people rather than leaving them behind. And when things get overwhelming? I come back to the motto that’s guided me for years:"Therefore I say: Be cautious and circumspect in all you do, and from this, good fortune will arise.
