About Ibrahim Safa

As a Postdoctoral Scientist at Columbia University, my focus is on advancing neutrino physics through meticulous data analysis and robust software development. Our team's efforts are crucial for the success of the Short Baseline Neutrino (SBN) program at Fermilab, where I am responsible for statistical analysis tool development where we will process the largest neutrino dataset ever collected. I currently manage, as well, the software stack for the SBN program, which consists of three separate but interwoven experiments. My academic journey, culminating in a PhD in Astroparticle Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Graduate Research Fellowship at Harvard University, has honed my expertise in statistical modeling and Python programming.
