About Ibrahim Syed

Hi, I'm Ibrahim Syed, a recent Oregon State University graduate with a dual degree in Computer Science and Music Production. I have a strong technical background in multiple areas of CS, including machine learning, data science, web development, and various other projects between several programming languages. In my free time I like to play video games, make beats, and create generative art through code!Many of my projects explore the intersection of art and code, blending sound and music with modern programming technologies. Some of them include- Historicle: A React and TypeScript browser game where players guess historical events- WeatherChimes: An IoT system for data sonification and visualization with Max/MSP and Node.js- Generative Sound Cues: Dynamic musical cues for robots, presented at ICAD 2022- SonifyIt: Robot middleware integrated with multimedia programming, published at IROS 2022.As a Data Analyst at Nasiha Solutions, I developed Python scripts to analyze operational data and wrote grant reports. As an Undergraduate Learning Assistant, I taught data processing and OOP in Python and C++. I’m a published author of three conference papers on human-robot interaction and data sonification.
