Background

About Ibrahim Vakil

As an Accounting student at the University of Guelph with a focused interest in tax and advisory, I’m working towards my CPA designation with a commitment to building a dynamic career in accounting and tax. Currently, I am gaining practical experience at Taxland Inc, where I assist in preparing personal and corporate tax returns with Taxprep, support small businesses in maximizing tax savings through tailored strategies, and manage bookkeeping for clients using XERO and QuickBooks. My experience has sharpened my attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to high-quality client service—skills that I’m excited to bring to a future role in tax or accounting. I am dedicated to continuous improvement, whether by learning tax software or deepening my knowledge in how businesses function, and I value the collaboration and learning that come from working within a supportive team environment. Outside of academics and work, I enjoy playing basketball and volleyball, traveling and exploring diverse cultures. I look forward to connecting with like-minded professionals in accounting and discovering opportunities to contribute to and grow within the field of tax and advisory services.
