About Ieva Bakutiene

I am a lawyer with both a legal & economic background, who has devoted professional path towards finance & technology (blockchain, web3, NFTs, crypto-assets, etc.) areas. My experience covers provision of legal / business consultancy at top consultancy / legal firms as external advisor as well as implementation of business operations as an in-house lawyer. Passion to finance and Blockchain technologies leads to manage complex projects: worldwide licensing of Fintech companies (EMI, PI, Crowdfunding, etc.), crypto-asset service providers (MiCAR licensing and compliance), collective investment undertakings (investment funds, management companies etc.), assurance regulatory compliance of financial market participants and blockchain based businesses (AML, risk management, marketing, etc.), effective structuring of operational activities (setting up operations, drafting internal rules & policies, implementing new-market entry strategies, etc.). I have also contributed to implementing various alternative financing projects for businesses (issuance of bonds, distribution of investment funds' units, arranging IPOs, ICOs, financing via SAFE / SAFT etc.). Such experience allows to ensure that core needs of businesses are satisfied during a whole cycle of its operations. With a more than 13 year of legal practice, I strive to ensure that the best result in any area is reached (be it corporate or contractual issue, a need for restructuring business or guidance through the mazes if regulatory issues), as I believe that only a tailored and comprehensive solution can bring any business to the new heights!
