I have a BS degree in Crop Production and Protection with research in plant pathology and MS degree in Entomology with research in honey bee health and pollination services. I have research experience in plant viruses and insect vectors. I have about 7 years of experience in plant sciences research and teaching high school students. At WSU I researched on honey bee health and management with a focus on sustainable varroa mites control methods as a tool to contribute to global food security. My current research is now focused on improving wheat resistance to hessian fly through breeding and genetics, and integrated pest management approach with the same goal of contributing to global food security.
