About Igna Steyn
I am passionate about people with disabilities and started working at Daphne Lee Centre for people with disabilities after the birth of my eldest son in 1987. After a few years I thought I need to further my education and then started studying at UNISA in Nursing Education, Community Nursing Science and Nursing Administration. After successfully completing my studies at UNISA I did my MSc. Degree in Community Nursing Science at the NW University in Potchefstroom (1997) with special attention to the needs of people with disabilities in North West Province. Since I started working with people with disabilities in 1987 I just felt I belong. I thorougly enjoyed the time I shared with Special Olympics South Africa but at the moment I need to spend some time at home with my family.
