About Ignacio Arribas

I'm a 6f 8" Spaniard expert in Fashion Retail from several aspects of the market. I've been Buyer, Store Manager, Marketing Executive in various European companies. I love finding new ways of solving problems, trying new products, systems and see how they perform, entrepreneur spirit is in my daily work. Afer almost 10 years in C&A, throughout several locations in Spain I had to move to the Headquarters in Duesseldorf, Germany. In 1998 I quitted and started a Masters Degree in Marketing and Multimedia Communications. My final paper ended up in founding a internet start-up:"Promocity" a website comparing e-commerce offers that was absorbed in "Kelkoo" and later acquired by Yahoo. The idea resembles a lot sites like Trivago, Kayak, Rastreator, etc. but thecnical possibilities at the time were not so powerful. Right after the "dot com crash" I joined the Marketing department of El Corte Inglés. I've been responsible of Baby, Menswear areas,(Brands management, Visual Merchandising, Communication), running campaigns, developing Intranet, attending Intl. Dept. Stores Assn. meetings and providing my expertise in other various arear and comitees. In 2013 I've joined the Buying rooms, facing new challenges and achieving new learnings.
