About Ignasi Guardans

But what do you do,'exactly'?" was the difficult question raised by one of my young nephews. Let me try to explain, to him, and to you. I am a lawyer by training, and that is how my mind is shaped forever. I have near 30 years of experience combining work in the private and in the public sector. As I have spent years drafting and enforcing laws and regulations, I am now also advising on how to read and apply them. On a number of topics, but with a focus in areas such as media & telecom, digital transformation, international trade, industrial R&D and IPR, and the fascinating world of the creative industries. I've been working internationally for as long as I remember. Mainly across geographical Europe, in the South Mediterranean and with the United States; but also with direct involvement in projects and activities in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, South East Asia and China. I am also bringing that in, together with several languages managed in full proficiency. I have a reasonably solid and educated legal mind, a huge curiosity for newness in almost any field, a passion for technological and social progress. That comes with good methodological skills, good drafting capabilities, as well as analysis experience and capabilities, which sometimes may include proper research work.
