I am a lifelong computer geek with over 8 years’ experience in enterprise system administration and software development. I love learning new technologies, programming languages and taking on complex technical challenges, but really anything that involves coding, reverse engineering or complex troubleshooting is sure to get me excited. Currently working on the Virtualization Platform engineering team at Morgan Stanley. Spending my days developing tools and REST APIs in Python to help deploy, manage and scale our massive vSphere and vSAN plant (second biggest vSAN deployment in the world). Some interesting recent work:* Expanding and improving a Flask-Restplus based API that is used by downstream teams and tools to get information on our vSAN clusters and infrastructure.* Wrote a custom Cinder driver for vSAN iSCSI that allows us to use OpenStack's Cinder for managing vSAN new iSCSI target functionality at scale.* Setup Cinder standalone as an SDS gateway running in a highly distributed and containerized architecture that will allow us to easily orchestrate vSAN iSCSI across a large and distributed plant.* Writing code extending Saltstack that will allow us to further use Salt to orchestrate ESXi hosts and vSAN
