About Igor Constantin Alexander

Passionate about lasers and optics since my teenage years, I pursued a degree in physics engineering with a focus on laser physics. During my diploma thesis, I developed a deep enthusiasm for ultra-fast laser systems, harmonic generation, and nonlinear optics, gaining valuable hands-on experience. For my PhD in nuclear physics at the Mainz Microtron at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (Germany), I designed a laser system for continuous wave electron accelerators, enhancing my problem-solving skills, especially in UHV components and laser technologies. Along the way, I became adept at programming in Mathematica, fueling a passion for data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation, and I am constantly improving my proficiency. Even beyond academia, I’m continuously expanding my knowledge in data analysis and science, with a focus on: • Python for data science (pandas, numPy, CuPy, cuML and dask) • Neural networks and machine learning with PyTorch and RAPIDS • SQL and AWS • computer vision Core strengths: • Analytical thinking and problem-solving • High work ethics • Self-motivated • "Can-do" mentality • Ownership and accountability in projects
