About Igor Dudas

I am a software developer who has been programming for 20 years and has worked in software development since 2017.* Full-stack developer - with PHP or Javascript/Typescript on the backend * Holistic view of software development, focusing on- discussing and setting customer expectations - delivering well-functioning applications while keeping the system maintainable and running smoothly - making good tradeoffs between different technical as well as non-technical concerns * Understanding of the full tech stack- linux system administration - dev environment and deployment (DevOps)- backend dev and databases (SQL, NoSQL)- APIs and data integration (REST, XML, ETL processes)- frontend development with React or jQuery/vanilla JS - UI implementation with CSS or Tailwind + basics of design * Strong communication with non-technical customers/stakeholders - requirements analysis - empathy for the customer; not getting annoyed about "silly" requests or changing requirements Most noteworthy about me: I am a very curious person and like getting deep into a topic. E.g. I have read parts of the SQL standard and parts of the source code of the PHP interpreter to answer some questions I had about those languages. For two years I have worked in Sales and Marketing to get a better understanding of the business side of things and have now returned to my "home career" of software development.
