Igor Larin has over 19 years of experience in Financial Advisory in North America and internationally, with a specific focus on real estate appraisals, advanced financial modeling, Argus-based valuations and appraisal reviews for financial reporting and accounting purposes. Igor is working across various industry sectors bringing deep experience in valuing, modeling and analyzing real property assets that enables him to respond to the complex and diverse client needs, and to help clients around the world identify opportunities for growth and long-term advantage. His deep understanding of clients’ businesses and markets enables him to provide insights related to the full spectrum of business transactions from mergers and acquisitions to litigation and disputes. His real estate industry experience includes analyses of office, retail, vacant land, multifamily, hospitality, healthcare, senior housing, and industrial properties. His tangible asset industry experience includes analyses of fixed assets in various asset-intensive industries including Energy & Resources, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, and many more. Igor specializes in USPAP / CUSPAP / RICS Red Book compliant valuations for financial reporting purposes under IFRS / ASPE / U.S. GAAP (for PPA’s, impairment tests, fresh start accounting, etc.), transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, carve-outs, and restructurings), tax purposes including the TCP analysis, FIRPTA, etc, real estate management consulting, market and feasibility studies, insurable value studies, valuation of niche property types and advanced real estate research. He also supported audit teams in reviewing client and third-party analyses for IFRS 13, IFRS 3, IFRS 16; IAS 16; ASC 805, ASC 820 and ASC 360. He holds Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering, and he is a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, the American Society of Appraisers, and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He consistently gets professional training in the lifelong learning concept that includes training provided by the Appraisal Institute of Canada, the American Society of Appraisers, RICS, etc. In his day to day work he is responsible for leading full cycle project management on various real estate and tangible assets valuation projects, managing teams, and supervising, training and developing team members on valuation and client requirements, as well as assessing their performance.
