About Igor Malgrati

As a person and as a professional, my main goal is to shape a humanely and socially acceptable environment: equitable, environmentally sustainable, and economically affordable. With this in mind, I was involved in a variety of human centred projects and programmes: from the design of a delivery room to the writing of a paper on how to make cemeteries during COVID-19. In 21 years of experience, I had the chance of dealing with several interconnected topics such as sustainable development, climate resilience, WaSH, urban planning, resilient infrastructure, construction management, housing, and energy. Led by curiosity and kindness, I developed and used strategic and logical thinking, managerial and communications skills, creativity and public speaking. All these skills were handy, since I was leader or member of several multicultural and multidisciplinary teams working in complex operations. My experience spans the private sector, communities and governments in contexts of development and emergency and in countries passing through war, post war and post natural disasters.
