About Igor Neevin

I have over 14 years of experience in Geology and Marine Geophysics, and my strengths lie in interpreting the complex field of geological mapping. This includes a wide range of skills to incorporating data into robust seafloor geological models. I also conducted AUV and ROV surveys. I am experienced in using industry-standard software such as Qimera, IHS Kingdom Suite, SonarWiz, Qinsy, ArcGIS, Petrel and SeisSee. This allows me to contribute effectively to projects. Through my experience working as an Observer and Lead Geoscientist on seismic surveys in the Baltic Sea, Bering Sea, Barents Sea, Caspian Sea, Eastern Siberia, I have gained skills in seismic acquisition operations. This includes maintaining streamers, digicourses and tailbuoys, as well as processing data on board and conducting quality assurance and quality control. I have participated in and supervised over 10 Arctic expeditions. During these expeditions, I conducted various surveys, including UHRS, MBES and I also carried out shallow vibro-coring and rotary stratigraphic drilling, as well as geological sampling. Specializing in sedimentary processes and recent tectonic mapping, I also focus on geohazard assessments, including sediment instability, landslides, slumps, coastal erosion, ice gouges, offshore permafrost, and shallow gas occurrences. This experience has helped me develop my adaptability and problem-solving skills in challenging environments. I consider myself to be articulate and creative, I prefer to be precise and to the point. Having a lot of enthusiasm and excellent communication skills I am eager to come up with ideas, collaborate, communicate and create. Strong analytical, modelling and execution skills make me able to cope with significant amount of work within deadlines, demonstrating capability to accomplish sophisticated tasks. Being result-oriented professional with a successful record of completed projects I enjoy working both in team and independently. In addition to my experience, I have authored publications that have been recognized in the industry, in such journals as Scopus, Web of science, RSCI.
