About Igor Tasevski

As VP and Head of Ericsson’s RAN Software & Compute Engineering Unit, I am responsible for developing and delivering hardware and software Radio Access Network solutions for global telco operators. We are transforming how networks are built with a new industry logic for greater value, moving towards programmable networks, enabled by cloud and open architectures. Innovation and engineering excellence are cornerstones in our approach, enabling us to build customer trust and retain our position as the industry leader. Our networks deliver fast and reliable connectivity for people, communities and businesses across the world. I very much see my role as pioneering the development of new technology and find it incredibly rewarding to know that my work has a real impact on society now as well as in the future. In addition to delivering products and solutions, I want our customers to embrace the innovative approach and technology leadership my team embodies. This, I believe, is how the telecommunications industry will find smarter and greener solutions that will move society towards a more sustainable future. I often say I was born and raised in R&D. It’s true that a strong technical background is invaluable to what I do. Equally important as my role has progressed to leading an organization of 12k+ people across several continents is an appreciation of a wider global perspective, different influences and new ways of thinking. An ongoing goal is to build a world-class engineering team of new and existing tech talent based on these values. Outside work, I spend time with my family and play as much sports as time allows.
