Bringing opportunity to talent around the world Founder, Chairman, CEO and Head of Research and co-CIO of WorldQuant Author of The Age of Prediction, The UnRules, and Finding Alphas Educating the next generation through WorldQuant University and reaching quants around the world through WorldQuant BRAIN I founded WorldQuant in 2007 following 12 years working as a statistical arbitrage portfolio manager at Millennium Management. As CEO, I provide vision, leadership and both strategic and tactical guidance across WorldQuant, working closely with our researchers, PMs and technologists. I have created several companies that extend my philosophy into new domains with the goal of helping us reach the future, faster: •WorldQuant University, a not-for-profit which offers both an online master’s degree in financial engineering and data science module tuition-free •WorldQuant Ventures, an early stage investment firm focused on disruptive companies in technology •WorldQuant Foundry, focused on creating the next generation of companies concentrated on the fields of the future, including AI, blockchain, biotech and robotics •WorldQuant Learning, developing advanced technology to power education and classroom learning Prior to joining Millennium, I was a venture capitalist, scientist at AT & T Bell Laboratories and video game programmer. I completed my MA in Computer Science from the University of Texas in nine months, and hold an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Wharton School.
