About Ihar Krot

Mechanical engineering design supervisor. My current professional duty is managing a team of engineers and aiding them in developing solutions for automated testing and assembly solutions. Some examples for the automated lines my team was involved in would be differential assembly, axle assembly, high pressure vessels testing, catalytic converter assembly, active vision system guided generic assembly stations. Within that will be automated, manual and semi-auto stations and lines. The above, of course, includes customer communication, customer design reviews and scope/concept discussions. Some of the customers worked with in supervisor capacity: ZF SA, ZF USA, Forvia France, Benteler Spain.Personally, as an engineer, I have designed various stations for the above. Some examples would be automated pressure testing station testing up to 1050bar to function within an auto line. Auto bolting stations with tool change. Various catalytic converter tooling and facilities. Numerous manual bolting tools. Work piece transportation systems for adaptive visual systems' guided manual assembly lines.Aside from design engineering experience, I have worked as a fitter, a boilermaker and machinist while studying part time and I effectively apply that experience in my mechanical designs. In the course of my work I prefer to work on complex machinery with no obvious solution. Challenge that was overcome and resulted in a functional machine to feel proud of is what motivated me throughout my career.
