About Iiro Esko

My experience is from promoting solution and service portfolios related to digitalization and industrial automation, sales, indirect sales channel management, business development, pre-sales, market analysis and consulting and production development. During my professional career, I have performed in global, technology focused positions in multi-national companies, meeting the expectations of my team, including those of my peers and superiors. Currently I am responsible for promoting digitalization to chemical industries in the United States of America. In my last position in Brazil I had the responsibility of managing the indirect sales channel of the Siemens Digitalization Software portfolio for Process Industries in Brazil and Spanish speaking South America. I maintained an understanding on the needs of process industry companies and their value chains regarding the digitalization of engineering, operation and maintenance in the region. Together with selected commercial partners, I offered software solutions and services expanding our installed base and increasing our market share. As a Business Development Consultant I evaluated engineering, operation and maintenance processes of potential clients and determined the technical scope of the offered software solution for starting new projects, visited clients in Brazil as well as in South America and accompanied clients during reference visits to Europe. I took part as a speaker in trade shows and customer events together with the marketing department, and with the technical department, I developed software prototypes and data bases for live demonstrations of our software product.
