About Ijaz Rizvi

Worked in public as well as the NGO, and the corporate sectors. Initially in the On Farm Water Management department for KP government and then moving on to the Sarhad Rural Support Program, as a Section Head of their Rural Infrastructure Engineering, and later took over responsibilities for Participatory Livelihood development as a regional head. Subsequently, joined IUCN, and helped them develop and manage a Community based Natural Resource Improvement program. Also worked with the World Bank as a participatory specialist in the Peshawar City Development Strategy formulation process. Moved to London in 2002, and took up wheelchair repair and maintenance work for the NHS, till I returned to Pakistan in 2010 and joined AID. At a personal level, active, socially conscious hardworking but easygoing. Striving to stay healthy and productive while being close to my family in Pakistan.
