About Ijen Chen

I am in solo practice in internal medicine as primary care since 1985 till now. I am also a Geriatrician in long term care facilities. I am a certified medical director ( CMD) for long term care facility since 2001. I am the founder of Asian Senior Concerns Foundation ( ASCF) since 2003. I have experiences in helping people come out from home to join community activities and/ or become leaders to lead classes to share personal experiences and to lean from each other in various activities to help personal health and mood and change lifestyle to improve retired living. We do not rely on public funds to do all these activities but getting small donations from attendees and so our overhead is small and we have done very good job. In annual panel speeches we hold lots of people ( 400) attend. In annual reflection performances ( members show what had they learned in line dancing, ball room dancing, TaiChi dancing etc. By the seniors, for the seniors and of the seniors, we love to share experiences with anyone like to know! Just hope we do not spend much time on TV, do not spend much money on healthcare, we enjoy our late lives till the end. IJen Chen, MD, MPH, MHA, CMD
