About Ikram Lazaar

My professional experience started at Deloitte, where I have worked as a Financial Auditor for almost 3 years. This first experience helped me in so many ways. I have learned to work with different teams and a very rich portfolio of very big corporates operating in different sectors. The main focus was to master work related to financial auditing (review of cycles, drafting of summary notes, preparation of reports, etc.), internal control (Interviews, identication of controls, verication of compliance with procedures, detection of anomalies, recommendations, etc.) and help in risk assessment and risk management operations as well as the letters of recommendation for our clients. Then, I had the opportunity to work for Decathlon. This very rich experience pushed me out of my comfort zone. I had the opportunity to work on more strategic projects, make decisions, assist my team with budgeting and managing budget gaps monthly, close monthly accounts and report the results to the rest of my team, and work on reconciliation of accounts with the group accounts, but also work on administrative tasks like dealing with litigations related to clients, to suppliers, and manage other legal matters, etc. Today, I have started a new journey in Business Analytics. I am working on mastering and excelling in Data Management & SQL, Business Statistics, Business Analysis with Structured Data, Python (Methods & Tools/ libraries) and Computational Analytics with Python, Developing Business Acumen, Visualizing & Analyzing Data with R, Data Visualization & Analysis, and Business Modelling & Optimization. But, on top of learning these amazing technical skills, I am working so hard on mastering Communication & Collaboration skills. After all, I have to be able to present the results of my work to my future team and clients in a clear, simple, and concise way since they most probably will have completely different backgrounds.
