About Ila Krishnan

Driven by a deep passion for biotechnology and innovation, I am currently pursuing a Master's degree at Nottingham Trent University while gaining professional experience as a Packaging & Process Technologist Intern at Ferrero. My role involves studying packaging processes and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in the confectionery industry. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Botany and Biotechnology, I have actively sought out opportunities to enhance my skills. I participated in a DBT Star Scheme-funded workshop at ICEIB, Karyavattom, India, where I completed a mini-project on gut microbiota in Anabas testudineus. This experience gave me hands-on expertise in Cell Culture, PCR, and genome analysis. Additionally, I undertook a course in Biomedical Nanotechnology, expanding my knowledge of cutting-edge biotechnological applications. Throughout my Master's, I have developed critical skills in data analysis, GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), and team management. I also gained valuable customer-facing experience as a part-time Customer Service Assistant at Greggs, which honed my problem-solving and communication abilities. With a unique blend of research expertise, technical acumen, and industry exposure, I strive to drive bold innovations at the intersection of biotechnology and food technology. I am committed to pioneering sustainable solutions and advancing breakthrough developments that leave a lasting impact on the food and biotech industries.
