About Ilce Perot
I am passionate about literacy and education. I oversee the Spring ISD English I-IV curriculum as the District HS Curriculum Specialist. I am finalizing my Doctorate in Education, which will confer this semester. I was a Literacy and Language Acquisition Consultant for LitLife, Inc. LitLife Inc. is a cutting-edge education consulting group specializing in professional development for PreK-12 literacy instruction based in New York City. I traveled the country and internationally, supporting students' teachers across various settings, including Bilingual, ESL/ENL/ELL/EB, Spanish education, and Dual Language programs. Before becoming a full-time consultant, Ilce taught ESL, Gifted and Talented, and Bilingual education. As a teacher, I was Escamilla Intermediate's 2013 Bilingual Teacher of the Year and Aldine ISD's 2013 Bilingual Teacher of the Year. I worked extensively with English Learners, Gifted and Talented students, and students with significant disabilities. I also previously wrote a curriculum for teacher certification programs and college courses.
