About Ilja Chapman

When I left the Netherlands in 1993, I told my mom I would travel for one year before finding a job related to the Facility Management degree I had just obtained. Surprise! Almost 30 years later, I look back on my great journey of exploring the world, interspersed with visits to family back home or when I was between jobs. Travel is my passion and I have worked in many countries, at different hotels and even on cruise ships. My passion for travel has transitioned to a tailor-made travel planning business I started in 2014. My passion took me even further when I created a platform called Travel Resources Group for passionate and independent travel advisors like me. Together we lived in St. Lucia, Spain, on board Windstar (Class-C RV) Cruise ships, and for 5.5 years lived in the small town of Bethlehem, NH, where the people and the nature of the White Mountains stole my heart. We are now settled down in Key Largo, Florida, and look back fondly on our past travel days, while continuing to travel as much as possible. I enjoy planning trips for clients and travel through their eyes. Most of my clients are or become close friends and I value our special relationships built around travel.
