About Illya Tarasenko
CTO of an early-stage neuroscience startup BrainPatch, where I am heading Research and Development work. We use machine-learning algorithms to perform closed-loop optimization of electrical stimulation, delivered non-invasively to the human brain, based on the live readings of the user's electroencephalogram. As a CTO, I coordinate work on technology and device development, prototype assembly, AI implementation, patenting, as well as design and build research experiments. This is linked to my work at Trinity College Dublin, where I am working with the world-leading Plasmonics Research Group. I am developing next-generation neural interfaces that employ quantum materials. For this, I build and test theoretical models of perspective quantum material based metamaterials and use them to advise experimental groups on prototype building. As part of my work, I am developing Python and Mathematica models of the physical processes, happening within these structures, in particular - through Quantum conductivity models.
