About Ilya Ackerman

I have almost 30 years of experience in the field of safety and security systems. Being a technical support specialist, I always focused on quick responding to customers' issues in the most efficient manner. During the last decade my field of operation has mostly been in the fire alarm and evacuation (voice alarming) systems business. I also have solid knowledge of other security systems principles, which includes intrusion alarm, access control, CCTV and nurse call systems. I am able to perform the full spectrum of customer support - starting from generating solutions necessary at the stage of project design and ending up with exact programming recommendations at the stage of systems commissioning. I have long-standing experience as a trainer. On basis of training programs which I develop myself I perform customer training - beginning from sales support and system projecting trainings for sales and design specialists and up to intensive hands-on trainings for commissioning engineers. During COVID situation I re-developed all major training courses and made them available online. As a technical writer I used to cooperate with security-related magazines providing technical articles and reviews. Currently I'm focused on writing technical documentation, manuals and guidebooks related to the products within my field of responsibility.
