About Imani Baucom

I am an accomplished bilingual educator with over eight years of classroom experience. Having taught both in the United States and abroad, I bring a rich cultural understanding and adaptability to diverse learning environments. I am in my 9th year at my school, serving as the Literacy teacher leader for 1st and 2nd grades. My educational background includes a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education with a concentration on Diverse Learners, where my focus on the Science of Reading has equipped me with evidence-based strategies to effectively nurture literacy skills in young learners. Additionally, I have leveraged my expertise to help develop curriculums for after-school programs, ensuring continued academic enrichment beyond regular class hours. Beyond academics, I am passionate about providing holistic learning experiences. I have spearheaded the development and implementation of a dance and theater program at my school, fostering students' creativity, self-expression, and confidence. Through my dedication to excellence in education and commitment to student growth, I continually strive to impact the lives of those I teach positively.
