About Imani Leonard

I'm an AP who recently worked as the associate producer for At Will Media on their Originals Team. During my time at At Will Media, I was able to work on a series of projects ranging from scripted fiction to investigative. There, I read and reviewed scripts, found potential interviewees, conducted research, worked in Celtx, and organized recording sessions. Outside of At Will Media, I worked as a producer from BlackStar's podcast Many Lumens with Rowhome Productions. There I edited and sound-designed their podcast in addition to assisting with guests ideation. In my other podcasting work, I gained experience conducting pre-interviews, archival research, gathering tape, engineering live recordings, conducting cold cold calls, and writing guest prep and intros/outros. This includes work for projects like Sacred Scandal and Summer of '85. My work in podcast began with an internship at Radiolab where I cut tape, sought out and compiled possible interviewees for the G Miniseries, managed episode transcripts, and conducted field interviews using a Zoom recorder. From there, I've been hooked. Currently, I'm looking for experiences that will allow me to showcase and continue to improve the skills I’ve already developed in storytelling, editing, research, and hone in on sound design.
