About Imogen Varle

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN BSc Hons) currently specializing in student mental health within an academic setting, I provide tailored support, guidance, and referrals to university students facing mental health challenges. My approach is focused on helping students achieve their academic and career potential, emphasizing that mental health difficulties do not limit one's future. I bring extensive experience from previous roles in CAMHS inpatient services as a band 6 nurse, and psychiatric inpatient services for adult females in both acute settings and PICU services as a band 5 nurse. My passion for writing complements my clinical practice. I have authored two memoirs:"Dear Little Lost One," which narrates my journey to becoming a nurse and life leading up to choosing this profession, and "Through Different Eyes," a personal exploration of life as an autistic woman diagnosed in my 20s. Additionally, I have penned multiple articles for Times Higher Education, contribute to HNDL magazine as a writer, editor, and researcher, and have been an invited to major conferences, further underscoring my dedication to mental health advocacy and education.
