I’m a Canadian registered nurse and healthcare leader with 9+ years of experience across correctional health, mental health, addiction care, and public health. Currently serving as Acting Chief of Health Services with Correctional Service Canada, I lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee clinical operations, and drive quality improvement in high-acuity, justice-involved environments. I hold an MSc in Global Health from King’s College London, a Certificate in Health Economics & Policy from LSE, and am currently completing Remote Nursing Certified Practice training at UNBC. My academic path reflects a commitment to health system strengthening, rural health access, and evidence-based leadership in complex care environments. Clinically, I bring expertise in managing high-burden conditions—including cardiac disease, diabetes, COPD, cancer, and chronic pain—alongside infectious disease screening (TB, HIV, Hep C), mental health, and substance use care. I’ve coordinated complex discharges, facilitated physician-led clinics, and led harm reduction strategies such as Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT). I also support digital health innovation through EMR optimization (OSCAR), intake audits, and virtual care implementation. In leadership roles, I’ve supported Accreditation Canada readiness, led national nurse onboarding, contributed to CSC’s Patient Health Care Home model, and worked to align institutional care with community-based transitions. I’m passionate about building resilient teams, advancing equity in healthcare, and leading system-level improvements grounded in public health and global health policy. I bring a global perspective and strong interest in contributing to large-scale health transformation initiatives, both domestically and internationally.
