About Ina Maritz

From Telemarketer to Aspiring Financial Accountant – A 30-Year Journey in Accounting It all started 30 years ago. Fresh out of school, I landed a job as a telemarketer—a challenging role that made me think, There has to be more than this. With no accounting qualifications or knowledge, I had no clear roadmap, but I was determined to build a career that would challenge and fulfill me. I started small: enrolling in a bookkeeping course, asking questions about Accounts Payable and Receivable at work, and learning how it all ties together. This curiosity and drive set the foundation for my accounting career. Fast forward to today, and the rest is history! Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience as an Accounting Officer, honing my skills and expanding my knowledge base. In November 2021, I proudly earned my Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, completing a major milestone in my career journey. In March 2021, I joined AMD Chartered Accountants, where I continue to grow and gain invaluable experience in public practice accounting. I’ve also progressed significantly in my CPA Australia journey, becoming an Associate Member and successfully completing five units. My ultimate goal? To become a well-rounded accountant who delivers insightful financial expertise, drives organizational success, and upholds the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
