In excess of ten years of management experience with international organizations in the public & private sectors including over than six years of project management experience with a USAID program and Honeywell International Company. A proven leader, promoted from Program Coordinator to Deputy Director in 2011 with authority over 35 Iraqi nationals of which 15 are located in provinces throughout Iraq. Gave presentations in venues and conferences in English and Arabic on the topic of youth entrepreneurship; built the capacity of Iraqi youth and empowering women to establish micro-enterprises. Key Expertise: •Project Management: Managed a $12 million nationwide USAID-Iraq program. Developed time sensitive project scope of work & execution plan from concept & identification to completion of deliverables & closeout utilizing over 30 contracted partnering companies of various specialties throughout the country. Developed & implemented budget, project scheduling strategy to achieve targets and work plan goals on time and on budget. •Personnel/Direct Report Management: Managed and developed 50 personnel of varied specialties preparing them for leadership positions. •Contracts, Grants & Proposals: As deputy director, assisted in developing proposals, responses & contracts for private sector entities. Worked with a team to obtain a $12 million grant & implementation contract of the Iraqi Youth Initiative for USAID-Tijara. •Microfinance: Assisted in designing, implementing and managing a nationwide $4.5 million loan program for young Iraqi entrepreneurs in 15 provinces, including loan product design, tracking, grant processing and portfolio risk thresholds. •Workshops, Events, Training: Designed & implemented 8 workshops for building capacity and business services for the Youth Initiative implementing partners: Small Business Development centres and Microfinance Institutions. Managed 12 program launch events in Iraqi provinces and a National Showcase event.
