About India Markus

My passion for education and student development began at UC Davis, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and served as Captain of the UC Davis Waterski and Wakeboard Team. Through my academic studies, leadership experience, and hands-on work in educational settings, I developed strong communication, as well as organizational and mentoring skills. Since August 2024, I have worked as a College and Career Consultant at Real Frequency. I guide high school students and their families through all stages of the college admissions process. This includes academic planning, essay development, study strategies, and school selection. My experience includes student teaching in an elementary classroom, providing customer service in a fast-paced environment, and coordinating a nationally sanctioned sports tournament for over one hundred participants. These diverse roles reflect my ability to lead, adapt, and build meaningful relationships with students and teams. I am committed to helping students feel supported and empowered as they pursue their goals. I look forward to continuing to grow in the field of academic advising and making a positive impact in education.
