About Indira Amara

With a passion for my profession, I currently work as an account manager at Starwest Botanicals in the natural products industry. We are one of the leading natural products companies, selling top-quality herbs, spices, and teas nationwide. As a result of our diverse and talented teams, we are expanding into multiple mainstream distribution channels. In addition, we are piloting the adoption of a new certification “Organic+” which defines guidelines and processes for regenerative and restorative agriculture. As an Account Manager, I am in charge of our largest distributor accounts, building healthy business relationships, onboarding new accounts, and organizing our teams to meet our contractual agreements. In the previous year, I worked as an Executive Assistant for the VP of Consumer Products and the VP of Marketing. This gave me a deep understanding of what it takes to sustainably sell over top-quality commodities, in an ever-changing global marketplace. In my initial years, I worked as an Officer Manager, where I developed and managed our Customer Service and Sales team where I defined processes and procedures to streamline productivity. Also, I onboarded, trained, and mentored new employees & delegated projects to the office staff, and acted as Interdepartmental liaison and point of contact for resolving issues. Additionally, I Provided scheduling for maximum coverage and delivered quality control with an emphasis on constructive feedback, reporting trends, and collecting tracking data for actionable solutions.
