About Indranil Dutta

I am an IT professional having a rich and varied experience in the Canadian higher education sector. Currently I lead the systems group at Financial Services whereby we are responsible for system implementation and process improvement initiatives and in identifying opportunities for automation and approaches that support/enhance data driven decision making. Previously I led the BI practice area in the Enterprise Applications group. Prior to that, I managed the applications development team in the same group, overseeing a portfolio of projects - some of which were university wide in scope involving multiple stakeholders over multiple years. I manage the various pulls and stresses that project teams are subject to through facilitation, negotiation and arbitration. I believe in the participatory style of leadership, in consensus building and my leadership style has been described as "patient and result oriented". I hold the CPA,CGA accounting designation. My current expertise include various facets of IT project management, IT resource management, systems design, development and implementation, business process analysis and associated metrics. I have a deep penchant for learning and am actively expanding my expertise to IT Strategy, Business Intelligence, Governance and Controls, IT Financial Management, Big Data, Expert Systems, Business Analytics and mobile application development. I would love to connect with fellow professionals who straddle the domains of Information Technology/Management, Project Management, Accounting and Finance.
