Indranil Gupta is an advertising and branding professional who is Founder Director of brand co-creation consultancy BrandNEW Associates which focuses on integrated communications for brand transformation. An MBA (Marketing Major) from IIM Ahmedabad Indranil’s forte is the strategic translation of business vision into brand storytelling and imaging. He helps co-create the growth path of start-ups advises on and sees through brand rejuvenation programs for institutions and has worked intensively on how to strategically use the power of good design and communication messaging in diverse fields including from education to healthcare financial services to real estate food and other consumer goods to social development and environment. In his 40 years of industry experience he has spearheaded agency offices of 4 of the top-10 worldwide advertising agencies – BBDO Ogilvy Lowe and JWT in India before going onto Bahrain to head one of Middle East’s premier branding conglomerates Lowe Contexture/ Vahid Associates for 13 years. He has been a custodian of some of the most prestigious global brands: eg. Wills Adidas Oral-B ICI Paints HSBC Nokia Bata Dabur India Today Reckitt & Colman Tech Mahindra Kwality and VLCC…He is an active mentor for more than 15 social entrepreneurs over the last 5 years guiding them towards their vision through brand development programs. He has taught Strategic Brand Management for part-time MBA students under the Executive Education program at IMT Ghaziabad. Indranil spearheaded the rebranding of the Cambridge Schools Delhi NCR and is the officiating Manager of Cambridge School Greater Noida. He is in the Board of Governors of the Society for Advancement of Education. Recently he has been appointed as a Consultant Brand Champion of the CryptoRelief Program an initiative that is making significant contributions in important healthcare projects in India. Indranil was an anchor for the rebranding of Buddha Fellowship Program to transition into The Buddha Institute a not-for-profit organization whose vision is to build an inclusive world through nurturing development social entrepreneurship. An avid music enthusiast who dabbles in a bit of singing he is also passionate about sports movies traveling and writing. His wife Sharmistha has been in education with institutions such as Shiv Nadar School Sanskriti School DPS and Shri Ram Global School in leading roles. He has a married daughter Rohini who is settled in the US with her American husband and he is blessed with two grandchildren 5 and 3 years old.
